Ron is a senior level executive with a diverse functional background including leadership roles in Business Operations, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Banking, and General Management – and extensive global cultural and operational intelligence gained with both private and public companies in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Bear Diversified was formed in July 2015 as the parent company for Northern Stamping (NSI) and Highlands Diversified Services (HDS). NSI and HDS are leaders in the design and manufacture of stamped components for automotive, satellite and aerospace applications. In his role at Bear, Ron is involved in acquisition integration as well as international strategy.
Earlier career positions in manufacturing included: Managing Director-China at Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products-Suzhou, a subsidiary of Alcoa, Inc. and the global leader in forged aluminum wheels for the commercial vehicle industry; Managing Director–Asia and Vice President at Hilite International, Inc., a manufacturer of electro-hydraulic engine, transmission and emission control systems for automotive and heavy truck applications; Vice President at GKN Sinter Metals, Inc., the world’s leading producer of highly engineered powder metal (P/M) components for powertrain applications, with 30 locations on five continents; Director of Corporate Finance – Chemical Division at Salim Group, an industrial conglomerate based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ron started his career in banking, holding positions as Vice President – Specialized Finance, ASEAN Region at Citibank, NA in Singapore, and before that was Assistant Vice President – Asset Based/Leveraged Finance at Citicorp North America. Ron received his Master of Arts Degree in Economics at the University of Hawaii – where he was an East-West Center Grantee; his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Toledo; and he was a Rotary International Foundation Scholar at the University of Bradford in Bradford, England.
